Direct payment worth $914 arrives in 27 days from Social Security

In 27 days, the Social Security Administration will

Send the first of two December Supplemental 

Security Income payments to millions of SSI beneficiaries. 

For individual filers, the payment is worth up to $914.

As a result of a kink in the administration's calendar, 

the first round of payments will go out on Friday, 

Dec. 1, and the second round will go out on Friday,

Dec. 29. Due to the holiday on Jan. 1, 2024,

the second payment will replace the January payment.
