Virginians can receive up to $400 in tax rebates during election week
The anticipated tax rebates for Virginia are being mailed this election week.
Residents may qualify for a tax rebate of up to $400
in checks mailed starting Oct. 25. In September, Gov.
Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) signed the state
budget into law, which allowed for the rebate.
Checks have been accompanied by letters stating:
This rebate is due to a bill signed by Governor Glenn Youngkin in 2023.
On Nov. 7, all 140 seats in the General Assembly
Will be up for election. Currently, Republicans control
both the House of Delegates and the governor's mansion,
But they are hoping to flip the state Senate on Tuesday.
