The SSI payment will be disbursed on Friday, June 30, which marks the second payment for the month of June. The initial payment was issued on June 1. This unique occurrence is a result of the Social Security Administration’s schedule,
which grants recipients two payments in months where the first day of the following month falls on a weekend. In this case, the second June payment replaces the regular payment for July due to July 1 falling on a weekend.
Varying Payment Amounts
The amount beneficiaries receive can differ based on their filing status. Individual filers are eligible for a monthly payment of $914, while couples filing jointly receive $1,371.
Essential persons, who reside with SSI recipients and provide them with essential care, receive a monthly payment of $458. These payment amounts are determined by the Social Security Administration (SSA).
