Every month, SSI recipients receive their payments on the first, unless it falls on a weekend or holiday.
Due to the fact that October 1 falls on a Sunday,
claimants will receive their October payment on September 29.
SSI benefits should have been received by September 1 for September beneficiaries.
Check until November 1 since there are two September payments.
As a result of the 2023 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA),
the maximum SSI payout for individuals is $914, and for joint filers, it is $1,371.
Benefits average $550 per month.
