After a major bank settlement, Americans can get free money from a $2.65 million pot. Find out if you qualify
An agreement to settle the $2.65million banking dispute will result in free money for Americans.
Overdraft fees allegedly charged between 2015 and 2020 were the subject of the settlement.
SouthState Bank's chief executives have not admitted to any wrongdoing at CenterState Bank.
The deadline to exclude themselves from the settlement is October 23.
Bank users do not need to do anything in order to receive a payment.
There is also a deadline of October 23 for Americans to submit objections to the settlement.
It is possible, according to Kroll, that claimants will receive a payment if the court rejects the objection.
