Today is the first day of the third round of Social Security direct payments worth up to $4,555
In one day, millions of retired seniors in the final group of beneficiaries
Receiving their September Social Security payments will receive
their last payment, which is up to $4,555 for those over 70.
Social Security disbursements, the last of which goes out on Wednesday,
are part of a monthly cycle of three payments.
People born on or after the 21st of a month will receive
their payments on Wednesday. The second payment was released on Sept. 20,
and it went to people born between Sept. 11 and 20. Payments were received by the first group on Sept. 13.
