There are only a few days left for Americans to apply for free $7,500 from

the $3.6million lawsuit involving data breaches - here are the exact steps to follow

There are just a few days left for eligible Americans to grab their share of up to $7,500 in money.

After being sued for failing to prevent a data breach,

the Washington State Department of Licensing has settled for $3.6 million.

Several types of personal information, including Social Security numbers, birth dates, and

ID numbers, were exposed by the state's government body

that issues driver licenses and registrations.

The WSDL has denied any wrongdoing,

but those affected may be entitled to compensation.
