Update on stimulus check deadline: You have four days left to

apply for direct payments worth up to $150

The deadline for applying for a $150 property

tax rebate in Greensboro, North Carolina, is June 20.

Applicants must be residents of Greensboro, have a household income of $41,000 for

a single person or $47,000 for a family, and have paid property taxes for 2022.

In order to qualify, applicants must have lived in

city limits for at least five consecutive years,

and their house must have a property tax value less than $250,000.

In March 2023, Greensboro's City Council approved a pilot

program to provide relief to low-income homeowners whose property

taxes increased due to revaluations, inflation, or budget increases.

Originally set for June 15 before the final cutoff was extended,

the city allocated $250,000 for the program, which opened in mid-April.
