Universities Canada invites its members to participate in the second call for proposals for the Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program. Scholarship projects for studies in Canada can be submitted here. It might be the last opportunity for post-secondary institutions to apply for BCDI 2030 scholarship projects based on the results of this call.
As the main institution for a scholarship project, colleges and universities can submit only one proposal. Among the 26 eligible countries, this BCDI 2030 project must partner with at least one higher education institution. It is also possible for them to partner on more than one proposal with a different main institution. Study projects in Canada are allowed to last up to four years and must occur between 2025 and 2029.
This second call is open to colleges and universities that were funded in the first call for BCDI 2030. A new proposal involving a different partner or a different field must be submitted, however.

Submission of the BCDI 2030 Proposal is open
We have launched the call for proposals! Members of Universities Canada are invited to participate in the second call for proposals for scholarship projects for studies in Canada. In partnership with a higher education institution in one of the 26 eligible countries, universities can submit one proposal for a scholarship project. Between 2024 and 2028, study projects in Canada can last up to four years.

- Applicants must submit their project proposals in either English or French on the BCDI 2030 website.
- Proposals must be submitted by June 23, 2024, at 3:00 pm (EDT).

BCDI Scholarship Funding 2024
The BCDI 2030 program is funded by Global Affairs Canada. The program is jointly managed by Colleges and Institutes Canada and Universities Canada. Partners include the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), and the Association of African Universities (AAU).
